Last week, Danielle Smith was chosen as Alberta’s next premier. She is the new leader of the United Conservative party, chosen to replace Jason Kenny. The main part of her platform is the “Alberta Sovereignty Act”. A law that she says would give back control of the province to the Government of Alberta from the federal government.
